Hillrise Ventures Announces Investment in The Metakey

Hillrise Ventures today announces an investment into The Metakey — a massively interoperable cross-platform key to the metaverse. Hillrise Ventures is the private investment arm of Hillrise Group.
Since launching in May 2021, The Metakey have sold nearly 10,000 Metakeys across four editions with a secondary market volume of almost the same number — 10,000 ETH. The project focuses on the concept of massively interoperable experiences within the growing ecosystem of metaverse environments.
With over 6,000 Metakey holders, each Metakey is an ERC-1155 NFT that can be used as an access pass to the metaverse. Owners can access courses in the Metakademy Web3 education platform, exclusive digi-physical merchandise, rewards across metaverse and real-life events, and enjoy tailored experiences in large-scale integrations with partnered platforms like The Sandbox and Decentraland.
The raise will support development of The Metakey’s new social hub New Ganymede, as well as the roll out of new partner integrations, team growth, and releases of further Metakey editions.
Hillrise Ventures joins Animoca Brands, DCG, Sfermion, B3V, SkyVision Capital, Double Peak, Spartan Group, Everest Ventures Group, Kenetic Capital and other key industry players in The Metakey’s $3.5m Seed investment round.
